Red Cross Blood Drive

Red Cross Blood Drive

The semi-annual parish Blood Drive provides a convenient opportunity for parishioners and other members of our community to participate in this nationwide program that truly saves lives.

Membership Information: All parishioners are welcome. We need volunteers to call and schedule appointments for donors and assistance with attracting new donors. We also need volunteers to work the day of the drive to help with donor check-in and the post-donation snack table.  Donor days are generally the Friday after Thanksgiving and a Saturday in May. Watch for announcements in the parish Sunday Bulletin.

Normal Meeting Schedule: There are brief meetings approximately one month prior to each blood drive to distribute phone call lists and discuss ways to advertise & promote the blood drive.  If you wish to work at the drive, there is a one hour long volunteer training provided by the Red Cross which you will need to complete also.

Time Commitment of Volunteers: Normally 2 hours of phone calls over a two-week period prior to each blood drive, or a 2 hour long shift of working at the blood drive.
